"Life's too short not to go big."

This definitely falls into the "epic" category in terms of beauty and physical challenge. This 22.3 mile lollipop loop starts at Spooner Lake, which is 20 minutes past Incline Village Tahoe, CA. and takes you along trails that are so beautiful you almost forget about the 3000ft of climbing required to complete this loop. After a hefty climb up North Canyon Road to Marlette Lake, you follow the lake's shoreline until you connect with the Flume Trail and from there you follow the Flume Trail for 7 miles. This section of the trail offers expansive views of the pristinely blue Lake Tahoe below. Near the end of the Flume trail, you head right to connect with Tunnel Creek trail, where you start climbing again. Tunnel Creek trail connects with the Tahoe Rim trail and after another serious climb, you end up on Marlette Lake Road. Now you are on the other side of Marlette Lake. This road takes you back to North Canyon Road and where you started.
